St Stephen’s Hospital Hervey Bay opened in October 2014. The Hospital, originally established in Maryborough in 1905, had a long and rich history and strong connection to the community. As the new facility in Hervey Bay is the first fully-integrated digital hospital to be opened in regional Australia, the Hospital wanted to modernise it's existing logo to reflect the transition into it's next chapter. The new logo acknowledges the history of the Hospital while supporting the new direction, embodying innovation and progress. The form of the original flame represents the heritage while the dove is uplifting and hopeful. The result is a logo which brings St Stephen's Hospital into the digital era while maintaining their personal care and professional approach.
